Welcome to the writer's space: St Gall Writer's Retreat at Blackwood. The Project is a work in progress. It is both a design project and a somewhat sketchy business idea.
St Gall will be located on a small forest site at Blackwood, in the Central Highlands of the southern Australian State of Victoria. This is the heart of 19th Century gold rush country. To stay at St Gall will be to find oneself deep in the Wombat State Forest, which stretches away to the horizon in all directions.
St Gall is a project by writer and designer Marcus Baumgart of BCBA.Studio. Marcus is based in Melbourne, Australia. The St Gall land is in the bush exactly one hour from central Melbourne, easy to get to on sealed roads.
